Top ten Disney films and why

Ok so I’m going to be doing my top 10 Disney movies(IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER except for numbers 1-5) and discussing why I love these movies so much

10. The Lion King: Ok so this novie has been in my top 10 Disney movies ever since I can remember. I remember being about 6 or 7 and having on my Lion King pjs on. This movie has meant a lot to me ever since I was little. When I met at Timom and Pumba at Disney World earlier this year, I ran to hug them.

9.  Toy Story Trilogy: OK guys these movies were practically my childhood. I was Jessie from Toy Story 2 for Halloween 2 years in a row. I would’ve gone for 3 if Kim Possible wouldn’t have taken over my life the next year. Anyways, I had to watch these movies daily when I was little. They quickly became some of my very favorites… That is, before the Lilo and Stitch obsession came into play… But more on that later.

8. Frozen: I know… Extremely stereotypical choice.. But, im going to say one thing and one thing only about this one in particular… S’VEN OS THE CUTEST ANIMAL SIDEKICK THAT DISNEY HAS HAD SINCE PASCAL AND THAT CAN’T BE CHANGED.

7. Peter Pan : OK this was the first Disney movie I clearly fell in love with. I wanted to be Wendy when I was about 5 or 6 and still want to be her to this day. Peter has always been one of my favorite Disney characters because he doesn’t want to grow up and neither do I really.

6. The Little Mermaid: I have always loved Ariel. She is in my top 5 favorite princesses for sure (another list maybe?) I absolutely adore this movie and URSULA IS THE BEST DISNEY VILLAIN AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME DIFFERENT

5.   The Nightmare before Christmas: I love this movie….. So…. So much…. So much I went to a singalong version on the Disney Cruise that I went on last year with my family. I was Sally for Haloween one year and I’d love to do that again someday.

4. Big Hero 6 : One day late last year just after this movie came out, I get a text from my best friend telling me to get ready because we’d be seeing it later that day. Little did I know how much this would mean to me afterwords. The first thing that I though when I saw GoGo was “I need to Disneybound as her… As soon as possible” Baymax is in my top 15 favorite Disney characters now. I have a friend that can do his voice very very well.

3. Aladdin: Ok so I love this movie so so so so much. I can still remember me and my friends always singing “A Whole New World” on my old karaoke machine. I have always ADORED Princess Jasmine. She is my 2nd favorite princess although, she was my favorite for a very long time. Genie is also definitely in my top 15 Disney characters at least. I have also really been wanting to see Aladin on Broadway. If any of y’all have seen it, is it any good??

2. Tangled: So… I’m kinda obsessed with Tangled… But, it’s a very good one to be obsessed with in my opinion. Kinda freaked out mentally when I saw Rapunzel in Disney World earlier this year, not gonna lie.  But, hey… ITS RAPUNZEL….AND FLYNN WAS WITH HER. I found the most adorable stuffed Pascal and I think I should’ve gotten it… But i didn’t.

1. Lilo and Stitch: OK now we get to where  my real childhood begins. I was about 4 or 5 I’ll guess when the movie originally came out. I think it may have  been my first Disney movie to see in theaters.  When I saw him at Disney when I was about 7, I literally ran to him to give him a hug.   I still love this movie and I still follow by the quote from the movie, ” Ohauna means family. Family means no one gets left behind”.

  1. Your list is kind of unique for one reason: Beauty and the Beast did not make it into your top 10. I am not saying that is bad; don’t get me wrong. It is in fact interesting to see differing tastes every time. The world would be boring if everyone loves the exact same films.

By the way, as a fan of Aladdin and musical theatre, I can tell you the Broadway production is by far DIsney’s best incarnation of a musical! The Genie, the Magic Carpet… and Jonathan Freeman is playing Jafar AGAIN (he was the voice of Jafar in the film FYI). If you love Disney and musicals, you can head to my blog to read more about Aladdin on Broadway. The discussion can go quite long haha.
